Indian ink + paint on cotton dust sheet pieces,
collage stitched with green cotton thread.

The story: 
Originally a large painting of collective sunflowers painted on an old dust sheet with indian ink ~ swipe through the pictures to see the full original piece. 
I wanted to break the form up a little + free the piece up. 
After cutting the painting into little inch squares, I played around with the pieces to create disjointed flowers, resulting in these tapestries, where I stitched the pieces together by hand + made collages on paper ~ moments of their lifecycle and decay.
